🧃 "Perfect prompting isn't the secret to AI success, your judgment is. The real power comes from your ability to recognize what's good, what's useful, and what sounds like you." - Arden Evenson, Founder of Firefly Advising
A question I ask myself constantly: "Why doesn't AI sound like me?"
AI isn't great at reading your mind. And it’s really bad at mimicking you without adding in little “ai-isms”. But with just a little more time and effort, you can make AI your kick-ass writing twin.
This week's Community Expert knows exactly how to bridge that gap!

What she does: Arden helps purpose-driven brands and entrepreneurs sound like themselves, in a way that earns trust and drives growth. Her work spans product positioning, brand messaging, sales and marketing materials, website copy, LinkedIn posts, whitepapers, and more.
Much of her work is in the fintech space with companies trying to make finance work better for people, but she supports a range of entrepreneurs and businesses to communicate clearly and credibly. Before starting Firefly Advising, Arden was an early employee at SoFi and has spent over a decade as a content strategist and writer working with clients like Capital One, First Republic Bank, and numerous fintech startups.
What she'll be teaching us: How to Get AI to Sound More Like You
A practical, non-technical session for humans who want AI to elevate their voice, not erase it. No tech background required, just a willingness to do the upfront work most people skip.
Favorite AI tool right now: "As someone who hates (HATES) making slide decks, Gamma has been an incredible addition to my toolkit!"
Her AI hot take: "Perfect prompting isn't the secret to AI success, your judgment is. The real power comes from your ability to recognize what's good, what's useful, and what sounds like you."
Where she thinks AI will be most impactful by end of 2026: "My hope is that it continues to take on more of the mundane admin tasks where judgment isn't necessary—for me, that might look like making weekly reservations for my baby to go to his library storytime (it's like the Hunger Games every week!) or auto-pulling and uploading the documents my accountant asks me for every month."
Her best AI tip for someone just getting started: "In the current world of AI content creation, the true value lies not in achieving perfect outputs without any editing or inputs, but in generating momentum and making tangible progress. I believe these tools are best for helping to gain traction on new ideas, accelerate creative work, iterate quickly, and edit succinctly—moving us closer to completion with every step."
AI myth she wants to bust: "AI isn't here to replace your creativity. Yes, it should make your writing faster, clearer, and stronger, but don't expect to hand over the reins."
Favorite SNACK: "Tater Tots!"
